Mr. Emmanuel N. Nchamukong is a professional conference translator/interpreter with nearly three decades of practice in various fields, including but not limited to environment and sustainable development, energy, natural resources management, health, governance, and international relations. Alongside a full career spent in the Cameroon public service at top management levels, he also carried out major consultancies with agencies of the UN system, including UNDP, FAO, UNIDO, etc., national and international NGOs, and CSOs. He has served as a communication and translation focal point in implementing some MEAs and conventions in Cameroon, namely the CBD, UNFCCC, CCD, the Montreal, Nagoya, Cathegena Protocols, Ramsar Convention on Wetlands, etc. He also served as Vice President of Partnership, Cooperation, and Sustainability in ERuDeF, a major conservation and development NGO.
A genuine lover of environmentally friendly initiatives, Mr. Nchamukong has been actively involved in conservation and green economy-related projects and programs. He is thus conversant with the projects and programs of the Ministry of Environment, Protection of Nature and Sustainable Development, and mainstream conservation NGOs such as WWF, IUCN, ERuDeF, WCS, LAGA, NESDA, etc.
His penchant for travel and sustainable tourism led to his involvement in the creation in the early 90s of Greenspace, one of the pioneer environmental NGOs in Cameroon. He has equally been involved in producing environment-related publications and broadcasting radio and TV programs on the environment.
